In 1904, Shawnee Country Club became a reality for a group of Allen County businessmen, led by Charles Linemann, who dreamed of spending their time playing golf on a course unrivaled in the area.

The land, purchased by Linemann, was chosen for its unusual rolling terrain in an otherwise flat area, within proximity to the electric railroad since the automobile had not yet become party of daily living. The combination of abundant water and trees added to the importance of this piece of land. It was both beautiful and practical.

Today, more than 100 years later, the vision of our founders is still our visions today- a course and clubhouse unparalled by any in the area. We continue to build on our rich heritage to provide our members and guests a memorable experience.

We are thoughtful stewards of a historic, top notch golf course. Rooted in Midwestern values and family-oriented, we strive for excellence in a broad range of amenities and activities for our members.

Shawnee Country Club is and has been since our founding, a private Club. Membership is by invitation only. Access to the Clubhouse, Golf Course, Pool, Tennis Courts and all other amenities is restricted to our members and their guests.
